TechInsights board to be named this week

Posted on | March 3, 2008 | No Comments

Paul Miller, CEO of the fledgling TechInsights company that emerged from the old CMP, will name a board of directors this week. He told me Friday it’ll include a mixture of senior staffers (guys like Richard Wallace and Ross Ayotte of EE Times presumably), some United Business Media folks and some industry leaders.
UBM announced the breakup of CMP last Friday and it also announced its preliminary 2007 earnings. For a solid analysis of where print fits into the whole picture, check out Chris Edwards’ Hacking Cough blog posting from yesterday, “Managed Retreat.” Among the many nuggets:

“…the slump in print advertising noted that the 29 per cent drop in ad sales from 2001 to 2002 was larger than the total revenue that CMP Technology (as was) expects to see during 2008.”
