Leaving on a jet plane

Sources say (and he confirms) that Paul Miller, one of the CMP executives whose hat is in the ring for the company’s CEO post, will be flying to London Jan. 31. He’s expected to be there for two weeks. That’s the headquarters of UBM, the British company that owns CMP. Whether UBM CEO David Levin is inviting all short-listers over or just really, really special short-listers is unknown. When I asked him which it might be, Miller said he didn’t know.
Meanwhile, back on the farm, Miller is expected soon to announce a management reorg within the Electronics Group. Only vague outlines at this point. David Blaza, who has run sales, online and the embedded franchise over the years, is shifting back into an online role. Richard Wallace is cementing his overseas chops, trying to grow the business in various regions. That’s what I know at this point.
