The media beat goes on

Good to see one can fall off the grid for two weeks and nothing really changes back in the media factory. More firings in radio-land for off-color remarks. Katie Couric, still under fire for lousy ratings at CBS, says it’s not doom and gloom. Meanwhile CBS has revamped its internet video strategy (which was “come to and watch”). It’s now a syndication approach.
One publication is embroiled in a plagiarism issue, while journalistic integrity comes back to another.
So the beat goes on, which it did in my one evening of fishing last week. I yielded nothing. Must fish more. I will say it was damn peaceful being a loser fisherman on a deserted lake, however.
